A cup of frozen berries with a tbsp of peanut butter mixed in. I microwave that for a minute......and voila........breakfast is served!

I cook mine with almond milk. Then in a separate bowl I have two tablespoons of peanut butter and half a banana and mash it up and add a dash of vanilla extract. Then I mix half the cooked oatmeal in and blend it up. Then add the other half of the cooked oatmeal and mix it, top it off with the other half of the banana and add a tablespoon of chocolate chips... BEST oatmeal ever (and totally reasonable calorie wise and so filling).

My favorite: A tablespoon of natural peanut butter and strawberries.

This. Natural PB is a must in oatmeal.

I like it topped with half a cup of Kroger carbmaster vanilla skim milk. Something about steaming hot oatmeal covered in cold milk. The hot and cold together as i eat it. Only 30 added cals and 5.5 g of extra protein.

I'm all about the savory oatmeal! It's kind of a weekend thing here that I look forward to. Granted, we use steel cut oats, but maybe you could make it work for you.

    Favorites:

mozzarella + green onions + garlic + top with poached egg

caramelized onions + handful of spinach + spicy curry powder + cinnamon

1 oz sharp cheddar (or I bet gruyere would be awesome, too) + medium apple (braeburn work well) + pinch of rosemary

tomato + jalapeno + chili powder + ginger + cilantro

turkey bacon + cheddar + onions

feta + sun dried tomatoes + kalamata olive + pinch of parsley + pinch of oregano

spinach + sweet potato + rosemary

red onion + crimini + parmesan + thyme

    It's seriously endless.

I totally second all of this! Savory oatmeal is amazing.
As far as the sweet stuff: almonds+coconut+chocolate chips = almond joy oatmeal. It's awesome. :)

Regardless of what sweet toppings you add, I would suggest also adding a dash of salt, makes a big difference!

I just saw a recipe yesterday that had pumpkin in it! Yum!!! Def trying that soon. A pinch of pumpkin pie spice too. And chopped walnuts and coconut... The possibilities are endless!

I saw a recipe about putting pumpkin into your oatmeal recently and I was about to try! It sounds like it is going to turn out tasty!

    Some great ideas on here!

I usually top mine with blueberries, raspberries/strawberries
    Banana and cinnamon
Sometimes I throw in a few nuts and always have chia seeds, sunflower seeds and things like that on hand.
The linwoods packets of flaxseed, goji berries and sunflower seeds are very handy! :)
