Should I allow myself to eat a candy bar?

Yes, if you like Snickers, that is a good bet because you are getting a tiny bit of protein to slow the insulin spike.
Next best would be a Reese's, because of the peanut butter.
Best wishes!0 -
Personally, I would get the Doritos and the snickers if I could afford both. The snickers would make me ill if I ate it on an empty stomach without anything else. I think I am sensitive to blood sugar spikes. So I would get it for the peanuts, but I'd get the Doritos for something that would satisfy my hunger better for longer.0

Ok, so I've had a super off day and I basically didn't get to eat breakfast or lunch. I know this isn't healthy and it's not an everyday thing, but today has just been hectic and it happened, it's over, and there's nothing I can do about it now. For dinner I ate green beans, corn, and half of a beef patty. I also had about a cup of strawberries today. I've already worked out for the day, I spent an hour on the elliptical at an 11 incline and level 8 resistance. I feel like I definitely have not gotten enough calories today and I'm already starting to feel hungry and kind of weak.
My main problem is that I can't just go get something healthy to eat, because I'm living on campus right now and during the summer our dining halls are only open certain hours. So, everything is closed right now. Also, I have literally no money. I am definitely a broke college student and I won't have any money until I get paid tomorrow.
We do have vending machines at our school though and they are looking like my only option. They use take our dining cards so money isn't an issue, but I really really really don't want to eat that junky food. My options out of the vending machine are candy bars, I think they have like twix, snickers, reeses, ect or chips. They have like doritos and ruffles and stuff. I have been eating clean for a while now and I've lost 14 lbs. I don't think that one bag of chips or a candy bar will ruin everything, but I just am feeling really guilty about it. I know this obviously isn't going to be enough calories to complete my day and that it's going to be the sugar rush effect then I will be hungry later.. but really I'm not sure what to do.
What is the best option for me here because I'm really unsure of how to handle this situation? And don't worry, tomorrow I am most definitely eating all of my meals.0 -
I like Twix or Snickers . . . Oh, and Reese's, but frozen, always frozen0

Thanks for all the help! I ate a snickers and drank a bottle of water and I feel a lot better and I'm not longer hungry! Now I'm about to head to bed and I'll wake up and get back on track and eat more tomorrow. Thanks for all the advice though, you were all really helpful!0

Sure you can eat a candy bar. Just stay within your daily calories and you'll be fine.0

ABSOLUTELY!! Everything in moderation! If you don't treat yourself sometimes you will end up over eating. Just make sure it fits in your daily calories. I am still losing weight even though I eat treats, I refuse to deprive myself of things I like to eat. I also know how to make things work0
