I shaved 30 seconds off of my bike ride to work; I'm also down to the last hole on my belt, and am now faced with the difficult decision of making a new hole or buying a new belt!6

Wearing my MIL's ring as a guard to keep on my wedding rings (her hands were tiny). And, still needing to take off my rings and watch when I'm on the keyboard as they keep sliding around. Not sizing them until I'm done losing
Going through customs and having the officer say that I've lost so much weight. I was prepared to show her my MFP link if I needed to prove that it was me and I had lost weight!
Great stories everyone!!6 -
I ran 10 miles yesterday!
I started out one year ago on the Couch to 5K plan. And I never thought that was possible for me to do one mile.8 -
I just went for a 4.4 mile uphill bike ride. I almost quit a thousand times...but I didn't! I learned that I'm stronger than I feel9

Guilt-free eating.
I used to feel really bad about myself for indulging. I would feel guilty about a chocolate bar or something like that. I've had a treat almost every night for the last month without feeling any guilt.13 -

I used to go crazy over potato chips. I had a life long love affair with them. I've never had much of a sweet tooth but I craved potato chips and cheese. Ever since I've been eating a lot of nuts and yogurt, I realized I haven't been craving the chips or the cheese. I eat tons of nuts like almonds, walnuts, pecans, cashews, and peanuts. They are high in calories but I think they have potato chips beat when it comes to nutrition.
Also I kicked soda....just drinking water and tea and I don't miss it.8 -
???? After completing a Leg day of You Are Your Own Gym, I collapsed on the floor... And I noticed when laid flat, I can see my hips again. Ok I've still got a long way to go, but the fact that my tummy isn't hard and bloated any more means the fat could spludge so my sides so I could see my hips ????7

When I got the diabetes diagnosis I went to Value Village and bought a pair of size 16 jeans. I could barely get my legs in them and doing them up was a joke.
Today I did them up. To be fair, I had to lay down and do them up 70s style, and I won't exactly be wearing them anywhere. But. They. Did. Up. And I didn't break the button! I haven't worn size 16 since highschool.
Is that non-scale? I think it's non-scale. I didn't weigh the jeans lol! Even if it isn't, I don't care! Did them up! But now I have to go take them off...losing circulation...20 -

* Just realized I now weigh 15 pounds less than what my driver's license says I weigh
* Had to get a new office chair - the old one isn't tall enough anymore because my butt isn't as big anymore10 -
I was shopping with a friend awhile back (several pounds and inches back even) and I was looking in the regular sizes, which was a total NSV for me to begin with. But when the sales person asked if I wanted to try my stuff on, I responded by saying I hadn't look at the section of clothing behind her. She poo poo'd me and said "that's that plus size section" as though I didn't need to look there! That made me feel pretty amazing considering it has been years and years since I could buy anything OUTSIDE of the plus size store/section!11

Embarrassing but my underwear fell off while I was walking down stairs and wearing a skirt and someone saw :blushing:! so I rewarded myself with 10 much needed new pairs.20

Yesterday I was finally able to lift my dive buddy and take him to the surface during rescue training. Never able to do it so I felt happy.....pure strenght it is! Buddy isn't extremely heavy (70-80kg) but that is dead weight durng a rescue yeah
Oh boy I have done that course and it is not easy to lift a diver out of water! Congrats!
I'm a rescue diver too! Congrats on your successes1 -
I've now been able to run a mile twice! I didn't want to say anything after the first time because I thought maybe I had gained some temporary super powers, but I did it again two days ago. As someone who has hated running ever since I was a little kid, this is a big deal for me. I'm even starting to enjoy it!15

I love these! Everyone is doing awesome! Each NSV, now matter how insignificant it might seem, leads to another and another...and next think you know, you're at your goal! :drinker:5

I was super stressed out tonight after an issue with my neighbour. In the past. I would brood at home, and take my anger out on a bowl of ice cream....tonight. I went for a run! I feel better, and call it karma, positive energy or whatever it may be, but I happened to run into some of my awesome neighbors while I was out who helped me deal with the crazy one.
I can go to bed happy and satisfied instead of mad ans bloated! I call that a NSV!21
