Hi, I have just found MFP and boy am I glad! This is the kick up the bum I need and I am loving the positve vibes on here!
All my friends seem to be skinny, little things and I dont feel like I can talk to them about my weight loss plan as my weight gain has been self-inflicted due to chocolate overload and laziness.
This is the turning point for me and I cant wait to reveal the new me in 2011. Am hoping to have some virtual support on here as want to keep my plans quiet and hope that people will soon be able to notice a reducing figure! So hello everyone and good luck!

I have that problem, my friends are all really small and it kinda sucks when you see yourself in pictures next to them when you are hanging out.
I know they would be supportive of all of this but I do not think they know what it is like since I can see them eat anything and never put on a pound. But being on here is good for me and I to am still new, I only started this about a week ago. But everyone on here has been great and very supportive.0 -
Welcome to MFP, and good luck on your weight loss. I joined in October, thanks to a friend I met here, that told me about this site. I love it. Since I joined, I have learned a lot about calories and fat, and eating healthier. You can add me s a friend, and I will try to keep you motivated.0

I'm new here, too. This place seems really great. I'm not actually 18 (don't tell on me) but I'm 16. I'm not really looking to lose weight, just fat, and then gain it back in muscle but this seems to be the place to keep track of what I really need to keep track of. I've lost 7 pounds in like, the past year lol, but then I gained a few back. I'm looking to lose some fat, then gain some muscle! :]
Everyone always says that I'm in the average weight zone but they don't know about my fat on my legs, stomach, etc, because I hide it well enough. ;]
I hope I can do this! I'm aiming at losing like 6 pounds by Feb. 13.0
