Stopped drinking sodas but no weight loss

So I know it's been said over and over but I used to only drink soda and I was lucky if I got one glass of water a day. Well I've been drinking nothing but water for over two weeks and haven't lost weight. I've cut down my calories as well and haven't consumed more than my amount except for a few days when I exercised a lot. Am I doing something wrong or does it take longer than two weeks to lose? Also, no the sodas weren't diet. My calorie intake is 1220 which is enough for me usually sometimes I'm just hungrier from working out. I do drink hot green tea but I don't think that's affecting anything. Help please! I need to know what I'm doing wrong.

I'd bet, given your weight loss goals, that 1220 really ISN'T enough. You need to fuel your body.

Sodas aren't the problem, you can have as much soda as you want (diet or sugared) and still lose weight if you are eating at a calorie deficit appropriate for you. When you determine your calorie burn make sure you do it appropriately, to lose weight you do not need to starve yourself.0

How much water are you drinking the past two weeks? If your not drinking enough, it wont make a difference. From multiple sources, you should be drinking half of your body weight in ounces. So say your 150lbs, you are suppose to drink 75oz daily. This helps with water weight and flushing out bad toxins. You'll lose weight within the first few weeks, but after that it'll start to decrease because your body is getting enough fluid and is helping your body stay energized.0

go to http://iifym.com/iifym-calculator/ and it will get you started! It tells you how much you should eat with exercise already included in that. Make sure you do drink water (half of your body weight in ounces), and weigh/measure all your food!0 -
How are you tracking your calories? I don't weight foods, but If it is something I'm not sure on I go for a higher number. Also what kind of exercise are you doing? Just walking for 30 minutes every day will help a lot.0

I try scanning the barcodes on food otherwise I find the closest alternative. I walk at least 30 minutes a day as well.0

The amount of soda you consume really has nothing to do with your ability to lose weight other than the calories contained in those drinks. Weight loss is just about calories in vs calories out.
As for why you haven't lost weight honestly no one, either you or anyone on here, can say because it has only been two weeks.
Perhaps you haven't lost weight because you aren't at a deficit.
Perhaps you haven't lost weight because although you lost 2 pounds of fat you also retained two pounds of water.
Perhaps you haven't lost weight because although you lost 2 pounds of water you also put on two pounds of fat.
You honestly can't tell right now and the only way to find out is to keep at it with consistency for at least 6 weeks and THEN evaluate your progress.
If you are losing fat at an appreciable rate then your scale weight should have decreased past the point of normal water-weight based weight fluctuations.
RIght now as it stands there is no way to evaluate your progress.0
