I ate a bowl of tabbouleh at 5.30pm yesterday and shortly after, started having nausea and at 11pm I puked it all out and realized the grains were still whole...which means my food never got digested right? Thus, are the calories even absorbed?

Ew. I think it would be okay to not count those calories.

I think you're over thinking it. You got sick. Just get back on track when you feel better.

By then, pretty much all the calories have been absorbed. There's only about a 30 minute window to get up any calories at all, and even then you're still retaining quite a few.

You should have weighed them and seen how many grams to deduct. Im being not serious at all.

Not really sure, but that's usually how long they make you wait after eating before you can use the restroom whenever you're in the hospital being treated for an eating disorder. I can't remember when I first learned the "30 minute" rule though lol.
