Hi everyone,
I live in Canada's desert country, it gets very hot here and activities generally involve swimming, boating, bbq's, drag racing and that sort of thing. I just signed up to mfp 10 days ago and wondering if you can share your favorite low cal drink recipes with me?

Red wine is great but as I grew up in the Yukon, I tend to be a bit of a beer drinker., however I really don't want all the calories!

I am also looking for new friends with a good sense of humour, feel free to send a friend request. (I'm the gal on the left)

Cheers!

Red or white wine spritzer: 1/2 wine, 1/2 flavored sparkling water, add a few fresh or frozen berries and ice. Refreshing!

I like to make iced green tea with a couple of peppermint teabags in the mix. Refreshing and lovely, no sweetening needed.

I also love a great big Coke Zero, but I'm trying to cut those to 1 per week. Had 2 this week though.

I'm hooked on iced coffee right now with one squirt of no-cal french vanilla syrup - I don't like it very sweet, but I like the vanilla flavor.

As for alcoholic beverages, I tend to go with wine OR I love the restaurants that have the Skinny cocktails. Applebees has a great 100 calorie Margarita and Unos has a 100 calorie cosmo.

You can buy the skinny liquors and wines. Make your own!

I made a basil lime cocktail with vodka the other day. I just muddled basil and a bit of sugar in the shaker. Add about an ounce of lime juice and let sit about 10 minutes. Added a shot of vodka, shook with ice and poured into a martini glass. Yummy!
I also love a high-end tequila with a bunch of lime juice, and 1/2 shot Grand Marnier.
