Hi there! Sore muscles will retain water. They work and heal better this way. If you doing all the workouts, you can aim for up to a gallon of water per day. I like to add some lemon juice. It sounds funny, but once your body adjusts to training, it will flush out the excess water, while only retaining what's needed for repair and recovery. You should not take any water pills or such, if there isn't a medical condition.
To give you an idea: Right now, I'm taking a few rest days, and it feels like the water is running off my body by the gallon. Pretty sure, I lost 3 pounds in the last 2 days....lol0 -
Since you are already drinking plenty of water then all you need now is patience. Give it time!0

Are you trying to shed water weight for a competition of some sort? Otherwise, why would you want to shed water weight, it's water!?0

I'm having trouble with this too. Your body needs to adjust. Try to exercise some patience (I know-- it's not my strong suit either), and the water weight will come off. Just make sure you are drinking enough fluid, or it will take longer for the body to flush it out. Sounds strange, but in my experience, that's how it's worked.0

Along with sodium, eating a lot of carbs can also contribute to fluid retention for me. You could try eating lower carb for a few days and just see if you have improvement.
If the fluid is in your feet, try to elevate your legs as much as you can. Support hose, if you wear hosiery for work, can also be helpful.0
