I am new, i am OVERWEIGHT.

Hello everyone, my name is Kelsey. I am 22 years old, and I am a CNA in Georgia.
I joined this site because I am tired of being the way I am, and always have been.
I was never a tiny person, but After i graduated highschool things just went down hill for me.
I gained a lot of weight, and i believe i am somewhere around 320-330 pounds right now.
I am tired of being tired, and im tired of the pains i have. I am only 22, i should not be hurting like this.
SO, wanting to make a change, I am here on this site looking for people who might be in the same situation as me,
Or has been, or is just willing to become a friend to help me along, and i will do the same for you.

Thanks for reading hope to hear from you soon!!

Hi Kelsey! Glad that you're taking steps to better yourself. It IS possible. It took me about a year to lose the 70 pounds I wanted to, and I felt amazing when I was done. I gained about 30 back with my last pregnancy, so here I am, at it again to lose that 30. Feel free to add me. my diary is open to friends")

    Welcome

Weight loss is really not magic, it's math. Calories in versus calories out. If you're consuming more calories than you're burning you'll gain weight and if you're burning more than you consume you'll lose weight. MFP has given you a calorie amount that you need to stay within to lose weight according to your goal weight.

Being a CNA another tool that would be very helpful to you, is to purchase a Fitbit or I wear a Jawbone UP that counts the steps taken during the day and these will sync with MFP to track what you're burning in a day. I like UP because I can add in workouts.

It's going to take time, just remember it took a lot of time to gain that weight. Don't go on any crazy diet plans they do more damage than good. Just do portion control. Two pieces of bread turns into one, a piece of cake is now a sliver, etc etc, Make healthier choices when you can, and avoid sweats. No more second helpings.

It's tough, you'll get hungry, feel frustrated that you're not losing quickly enough, you'll hit plateau's, but it's all worth it to become a thinner, happier and healthier you. There's plenty of success stories around to keep you motivated. You can do this, just stick with it. Make it a life style change.

We have so many things in common. 300+, cna's/hha and I'm almost 22. I don't know where you work but once I stopped working in a nursing home it has become easier for me to continue losing weight. It's just way to stressful and that work is very hard on your body.
