Very minor weight loss.. big BMI success.

So I lost almost 14 pounds since I started MFP. That's not much weight, but it brought me down officially to a BMI of 39.9 this morning. I am no longer morbidly obese! I'm just obese! For some reason this feels like a big deal. I only weigh slightly less than I did yesterday, but it feels 100 pounds lighter. That "morbidly" was a really heavy word to have to carry around.

I had that same feeling when I went from the obese to just overweight category. It'll feel great when you get there too!!!

    Congratulations!!!

Those labels really do get us don't they. I am a little over 10lbs away from being overweight and you better believe I'm going to be dancing a jig when I get there. When I get to normal in 36 lbs I will probably cry.

Keep up the great work!!! Especially when it gets hard and it will get really hard sometimes. Don't give up, don't ever give up :)

    You bet it's significant!
You now have half the risk of dying from a stroke! :D
You've lowered your risk of developing fatty liver disease :)
You've lessened your risk for developing some types of metabolic-related cancer :D
You are around three times less likely to develop heart disease! :)
And the biggie-type 2 diabetes risk has fallen significantly! :D

This is a great win-really happy for you!
