Breastfeeding?

How do I adjust my calorie intake for breastfeeding? My baby is eight months old and breastfeeds 4-5 times a day and normally twice at night (some of the daytime feeds are just "snacks" because he also eats 3 meals a day). Should I just adjust my activity level? Or should I add an exercise called Breastfeeding? I don't want to cut my calories too drastically and affect my milk supply. I plan to breastfeed until Son is one year.
Any other breastfeeding moms out there?

Hi you need to take in between 300 and 500 extra calories to support breastfeeding, so would make a new exercise called breastfeeding and make it 500 calories if you don't notice any weight loss then drop say 50 calories, but don't go lower than 300!
I breastfed my son until he was 14 months, during that time i maintained my before pg weight but when he stopped feeding ........ well here i am lol i put on almost a stone in 6 months! Good luck x0 -
One of the ladies on my friends list is breastfeeding and she adds hers in as exercise each day. The above poster is right on.....you need an additional 300 - 500 kcal per day when breastfeeding. Good luck!0
