Why is MFP promoting vegan detox smoothies in it's blog?
This is disappointing.

At least the link to import the recipe doesn't work.

The title of the blog post is: Is a vegan cleanse right for you?

The title of the post isn't: A vegan cleanse is right for you.

A blog is an experience or point of view.

MFP states on the home page (I believe or somewhere at the beginning) that MFP does not claim that any advice on the discussion board or elsewhere is a substitute for medical or scientific facts.

If one blog post persuades someone to do anything, then let me tell you about the fantastic get rich quick, just send me 2,000 $ and I'll send you my complete secrets kit....it is in my blog.

Yea, that's what I was thinking. I'm sure the author of the blog wrote it and ssid "Man, I hope no one tries this cleanse".

Also you'll note that her cleanse was pre-made so what's the betting you can find a nice little paying link on her blog to help you buy these :noway:

    I checked out the blog.

She has blogs on donuts, brownie ice cream sandwiches, and key lime desserts.

Vegan smoothies are fine. They can be healthy and delicious.

But featuring a blog on detoxifying cleanses?

I am disappointed MFP. This is completely inappropriate. It promotes falsehoods and dangerous dieting practices.

And really, you passed on the brownie ice cream sandwich option for this?

I also object to featuring a blog that promotes cleansing or detoxing. But...in for brownie ice cream sandwiches.

I assume that people can make their own decision based upon their own reasoning.

There is a lot of information out there about weight loss...some of it is sound, some of it is not.

People can decide for themselves. The poster above me did, I"m assuming others can do the same.
