Went Over Cals Yesterday - BUT

But I'm not letting it make me feel crappy. It used to be that if I knew I was going to go over, I pulled everything from my log and left it blank for the day. This time, I logged every single thing I ate, even when I watched the numbers go into red. It was almost therapeutic to have a visual of it; something tangible that I can sit and look at and go "yeah, I won't do that again". It's nice to have a reminder, so the next time I'm eyeing those brownies, I remember how it felt to watch the numbers turn red. I feel like it's more of a deterrent to have it all logged down than to wipe the slate and pretend it never happened.

Just my two cents.

I do the same thing, but at the core of it all I know it's better to log it because you're better off being able to see and learn from your mistakes so it's not all for nothing. :) Good on you for having the guts to do it, because I guarantee TONS of people are the same way.

On the plus side, I more than made up for it yesterday. It wasn't on purpose, because I was sick as a dog, but normally that's when the day I went over would totally be wiped from my mind. Having it in my log reminds me of my trigger behavior. Oh, I had a friend over who wanted Taco Bell? That automatically means I have to have it too. Stuff like that. I'm really glad I decided to log it.

I do the same thing. I put it out there. Sometimes it even motivates me to get on the exercise bike and ride and ride until I see green again.

Keep on logging. It really helps.
