Reasonably priced??

Was thinking in the $150/night range..not $300/night...

Am I crazy??

ETA: I am open to a suburb as well, just need to get to the Shedd Aquarium area...halfway easily.

Prices shocked me too! And for $300 the rooms are nothing to brag about.

Depends on when you are planning on visiting, but I would say during tourist season (i.e. the summer), that's probably not going to happen. I would suggest trying https://www.airbnb.com/ - I've heard good things from fellow travelers re: finding apartments/condos/rooms to rent on the cheap, and may give you a little more of a "locals" experience anyway. Good luck!

Crown plaza.... Pool on the roof... Decent price. Highly recommend it!

We did hotwire and told it millennium park/downtown. Got a FABULOUS hotel (a Hyatt) with a few extra conference rooms (some science conference) for $79 a night.

It depends...by the hour can be a cheaper alternative. You just have to leave earlier than you might have wanted.
