5:2 - success stories, tips and motivation?

So, I'm on my first fast day and I'm just about keeping it together.

I'm wondering if anyone can share their stories on the 5:2 so these hunger pangs I'm having at the moment feel worth it. I'm also not eating anything on my fast days, just lots and lots of water, because I have an unhealthy relationship with food (recovering bulimic) I know if I eat one thing, I will want to eat more, so it's much easier for me this way.
