Leg toning advise

My one area that I dislike are my legs. Have always been self-conscious in shorts and would like to change this. Any tips on toning them? I do cardio and light weight lifting 3-4 times per week, but am open to trying something different.

    Squats, lunges and deadlifts with heavy weights

    Lift heavy. Squats, (bulgarian split, wide stance, narrow stance are my fav. Do lunges, and deadlifts, Leg press, leg curls, leg ext etc. No light weights!!
