Weighing in

So I've heard the general consensus is that you should weigh yourself when you first wake-up due to your weight "floating" while you sleep. But here's a question. I live with my uncle currently and I also work with him in his construction business. He generally wakes up at 5, and since I sleep in the living room, he usually wakes me up when he does anything (he's a heavy stepper). The routine though, is he'll tell me whether he has work for me that day, or not. So my question is should I go back to sleep like I've been doing THEN weigh myself, or should I just weigh myself as soon as I wake up so as not to ruin my actual weigh in?

Weigh yourself when you actually get up and get moving. The best way to weigh: get up, use the restroom, and then weigh (before eating or drinking anything).0

So it wouldn't matter if I did it when I first woke up or woke up again? Only when I finally got off the couch?0 -
oddly I find that your weight changes no matter what so its best to just pick a set time and schedule. Like xcallygrl said its best after you have used the restroom and before you've eaten. For myself I tend to step on a scale around 7am. If I wake up early like today when I have a 6am yoga class my weight will typically be a full pound higher than it will be if I waited the extra 2 hours. Its just how your weight can fluctuate. I try not to put too much effort into what the scale says though. I have found that it doesn't move as much but the inches can still be flying off your body. Take your measurements and then once a month do it again to see where you really are at.0

Sadly I have to care what the scale says. Since I am enlisting I have to be a required weight for my height. Or I can make the BMI requirement but that's still far off too (thank god for a scale that tells me it).0 -
I would weigh yourself just prior to you actually eating and drinking in the AM. Sometimes my weigh-in for the week doesnt happen until late saturday morning or early afternoon. I will get up and do whatever, yard work, run, etc. When I decide to drink/eat it is then when I weigh in.So I've heard the general consensus is that you should weigh yourself when you first wake-up due to your weight "floating" while you sleep. I have found something odd with my weigh ins. 4 plus times I have weighed in right when I got up and didnt really like what I saw.
So I think weighed in again later that day, early afternoon, after I get everything done I wanted to do and before actually eating a late lunch and each time I have seen a considerable decrease on the scale.
I am not totally sure how 6-8 hours makes that big of a difference but for me it has. Many times I will have some caffeine to bring upon a nice big number two of which I believe is what is helping!!!!!0
