NSVs!!!

I have a couple...
My house is a two story. I found in the past that I would start up the stairs full speed, and then by the time I got 1/2 way up was starting to slow down (carrying 200lbs on a frame meant for 150 or less will do that to a person...so will lack of cardio. LOL) and was always winded at the top. AFTER ONE FLIGHT OF STAIRS!! I can now run up my stairs and not be winded at all, and without slowing. It's a small victory, but a victory nonetheless.
My second one made me feel good, but disappointed at the same time. I have had four people in the last two days tell me I look good. However, none of the four could pinpoint the difference in me. Granted, when you're a certain size...12 lbs gone is hard to notice. Maybe it's the glow if feeling great, or maybe they didn't want to ask if I'd lost weight for fear I would take it the wrong way if I HADN'T been losing. I never did mention the loss, I kept it my secret. Why? Because I'm using this as motivation to keep going and make this something that is noticed!

Yay! I used to live in an apartment on the second floor, and it would just about kill me going up the stairs, and more than once I would actually take a break halfway up. That is a big victory as far as I am concerned!
People tend to notice the changes before I do, and I only announced my weight loss goals after I had lost a bunch.
Keep it up!!0 -
I hear ya. I would walk up 3 flights of stairs in my parking garage and be winded and feel my pulse beating in my neck.
I have lost about 30 lbs which is about 12% of my starting weight and only received a couple comments so far but NONE from the people I work with and I spend more time with them than I do with my other friends. Maybe it is because I am still wearing my bigger clothes.0 -
Great NSVs!
Mine for today was being in a rush to get out the door and not being totally sure what I wanted to wear (crazy weather in my area) so I was throwing on different layers and checking the combos in my mirror...to see if they looked "right" together...not to see if it made me look fatter or not.
In the past, all of my clothing decisions were about how fat I looked or did not. I just realized that has become way less of an issue. And for every 1 time now that I do think "this top's not flattering and makes my belly fat more obvious" there are a half-dozen mornings when I put on a dress and realize it's looking tentlike and needs to be donated. Woot!0 -
Awesome, Guys!
Donate those tents, keep dropping those pounds and inches, and always feel great about yourselves. We're worth this!0 -
Great job! With having 75 pounds to lose it took taking 20 off before people noticed! In fact I could barely notice either! Haha!0

A new NSV for me. I passed some women in the hall, and two of them made comments about me being the 'incredible shrinking man.' I have not been that impressed with my shape changes even though the scale is telling me I'm 20+ under my beginning weight and I've had to change to a new belt because I ran out of holes.
I think I'll go with the opinion of the beholders.0 -
I've been working on different areas in my life, and they've improved significantly, by the grace of God. So my NSV is about balance.0

Had a NSV today - got out a pair of nice work slacks (Size 38) that I haven't worn in about 2 years. They had been hanging in dry cleaning cover. I was a tight 40 right b4 my diet. The size 38 slacks are LOOSE!!!
Unfortunately I celebrated by having quesadillas for lunch today. 3 large quarter pieces. Argh!!!0 -
My NSV was on Tuesday. I just started with eating healthier and getting back into running on June 3. I am training for a half marathon in September. Well, on Tuesday, I went out for my run even though it was raining. SOme lady told me from across the street "You won't be so fanatical once winter comes". Hmmm...I took it as a compliment. An old lady telling 270 lb. me that I was fanatical about running. While it doesn't show yet, I'm glad she recognized my dedication.0
