Avoiding weight gain after surgery?

I'm getting implants in a week and I've read a lot of women saying they gained a good deal of weight after their surgery. Is there something about the surgery that causes you to gain weight or is it simply the recovery time and limited activity that is causing weight gain? I worked really hard to lose the weight and I really don't want to gain it back!

Follow up question:
When working my TDEE should I include the 2.5 pounds the girls will be adding or not? Or would that little weight even make a differance?0 -

I haven't had that surgery, but I did have a gnarly jaw surgery in March. I was severely restricted in diet (liquids only, oh joy!) and I dropped a lot of weight. BUT I imagine with all the swelling going on, most people will show a weight gain post-op.0
