Anyone else doing Impromy?
It's the CSIRO meal replacement plan. I signed up to the program two days ago, I was drawn to it as it monitors blood pressure, blood glucose and cholesterol weekly.

Yes! I signed up on Monday morning at Malouf Pharmacy. I thought the meals from the book were too small, but I'm having one with meal replacement shake here and there and it's all going well for me. I'm yet to feel super-hungry (o:0

Yay, a fellow Impromy friend!
I actually find the meals to be perfect portion-wise for me, however I am adjusting slowly from carb heavy to the more protein focused meals.
As far as shakes go, these ones are fairly good. I like chocolate and café latte, not so keen on strawberry or vanilla. The soups are just 'meh', about on par with a Cuppa Soup.
I went in for my first weigh in this morning, I couldn't believe my eyes when I hopped on the scales! One week in and I've lost 1.4kg.
Let me know how you're going, tokyoskyscrap!0 -
Is it very expensive? I've seen it advertised and I want to lose my baby weight and am pretty lazy with making lunches so a shale would be great.0

Hi ladies, I started IMPROMY on 10th June, so far -2kg, a loss is a loss but feeling a little disappointed on the slowish result considering I'm sticking to it like glue! Can't say I'm a huge fan of the shakes, I'm not a "milk" person (although love my lattès) so that was a bit of a struggle mixing the shake with milk, did try water but was bland flavourless water, so now using almond milk which seems to be ok (don't get that sick bloated milk belly feel) sorry if it's too much info. Lol. I don't ever feel hungry following the program and some of the recipes have been really great and reasonable for the whole family to enjoy. I have enjoyed the soups and really look forward to my choc muesli bar snack, but I've been told to mix up the snacks and dinners so it's not the same thing every day.... So let's see how this goes for the next week or two, hoping for some bigger losses. Good luck to you all )0

I am now in my 7th week and have lost 6 kg, perhaps not as much as i had hoped but better than anyone else on the programme at our local Chemart. One Coffee shake in the morning and soup for lunch with a spoonful of curry paste to ginger it up a bit. Cycle 15km a day which my mobile app tells me i have burnt 350 calories. Have given up on the recipe book, evening meal is chicken ,fish or lean meat and salad or veg. At 70 odd years of age i have not given up my evening tipple and try to drink at least 2 litres of water each day as well as diluting the shakes and soup with double the amount suggested.
The real test will be to maintain a sensible diet when all is done.
I wish you all well and good luck.0 -
Hi everyone, glad to find a bit of an impromy forum. That's something that's missing with this programme I think.
I'm a but underwhelmed with the weight loss unfortunately. Sticking strictly to the diet for 5 weeks now but only 2.5 kilos down. Not the promised 2 per week. Can't quite work out what's wrong there. Looking forward to hearing how everyone else is going.0 -
Hi new to the group & Impromy as of Tuesday. Glad I found this group for support. I'm hoping for a 0.25-0.50kg loss a week. I want to change my eating as much as lose weight. Weigh in again on Wednesday0

Hi I just started Impromy on. Thursday 30th July and showed a 1.7kilo loss in the first 24 hours but dont expect it to continue like this. I am 60 and a non-insulin dependant diabetic with about 25 kilos to lose. I have found that the shakes fill me but I do tend to start looking for a snack about 3pm and again about 7.30pm, other than that I have found it hard not having much carbohydrates although my blood sugar has not dropped any, but I guess I am only day 3 so should expect to see that come soon. Are other people having trouble sticking to the plan?0

Hi all, I have just signed up for the program and will commence in 2 days. I am a little worried that the shakes won't fill me up. Is anyone finding they are hungry all the time? What about headaches or tiredness? Thanks. Sarah0
