New to this site

I tried another site similar to this but it wasn't as encouraging. It really promoted a boot camp atmosphere and I became very discouraged. This is my first day and I have found it easy to get going. The exercise part isn't easy. I plan on walking about 40 minutes per day I'm in my 60s and need to lose about 100 lbs. Most of the weight gain is related to very complicated health problems over a 10 year period. I'm trying to do what I can with the gifts that I have.:smile:

    Welcome to myfitnesspal. I could tell a similar story related to complicated health issues. I have just started using this site recently, but have found it a useful tool to track exercise and food, and how close my choices fit with my nutritional goals
