Still dropping weight :(

My weight is dropping and while I can see the tone coming on it seems I'd be gaining a bit of weight back.
I now have seven weeks left on my first round of P90X.
I've added proteins and good carbs as well as supplements to help build muscle, but the scale is continuing to drop.
My goal was 170. I'm now at 163. Yes, the fat is going away and I've lost over 8.5" in my waist, but is this right?
I'm 5'10", 34yo male and am pushing myself HARD on the workout. With the exception of Stretching I'm burning anywhere from 600 - 1000 calories per workout (according to my HRM).
I'm having trouble trusting it...
My daily caloric intake is around 2600ish (sometimes a bit higher or lower).
I've cut dairy out almost altogether.
I am only eating whole grains (when I have breads).
My water intake is between 10-16 cups per day.
Any thoughts?
Thank you so much,
-Rain

HI- welcome!!! I joined almost 2 weeks ago and can see a difference! I can relate as I have yo-yo in weight most of my adult life so I understand how you feel. I agree that being active here we will lose the weight and then hopefully maintain it ! Feel free to "friend" me!
