This really has to be it!!! Please help me.

I've just returned from a lovely week's holiday in the sun. But here are some of the things that got in the way of having a totally wonderful time:

- My husband being given a size 'S' wetsuit when diving - I was given an 'XL' which had it stamped on the front for all to see
- Having to wear shorts under my dresses even thought it was over 30c, to stop chafing
- Feeling uncomfortable lying by the pool, in case anyone should walk by
- Seeing the photos that the wandering professional photographer took. I look fat and old
- Not being asked by the entertainment team to take part in any of the activities (okay so that one could be paranoia but it all adds up)

and worst of all:

Having to adjust the seat belt on the plane to very near its maximum length. A few lbs more and I might need an extension and then I really would die of shame/disgust.

On the plane it occurred to me that I beat my fear of flying, I really ought to be able to beat my over-eating. But with the fear of flying I got professional help - for the weight loss I need some MFP help!

So if there's anyone out there who would like a friend to keep motivated with, who can catch up most days, please do get in touch.

I WILL NOT NEED THAT EXTENSION!!!!

Thank you
x

I will add you xxx Sometimes it takes a bit of a shock to get us going. A few years I was overweight. I didn't realise how bad until I looked at an xmas pic of me and my baby son. I couldn't believe how big I had got. I didnt feel big. I went on to lose 2st 5lbs. Over the past year I've gained some of it back, but not all. I've started eating better again and exercising. But what kicked off the exercises this time is a health condition which leaves me tired and in a lot of pain. The weightloss is a bonus :)

I'm not very active around here, but if you'd like a FitBit friend, you can add me there. :-) https://www.fitbit.com/user/26W8SH
Are you on Facebook? There's an awesome FitBit group over there as well, FitBit Pals.

Sad to say but sometimes it's times like this that make us realise the time has come to change.

For me it was my doctor saying loose the weight or risk having a stroke. Not nice to hear at only 41 yrs old.

    Sending through a friend request.

Last time I flew, I also had to suck in my gut to fasten the seatbelt and my hip kept pushing the armrest up. The guy sitting next to me made huffy, annoyed noises the entire flight, and it wasn't a short flight. I'm flying again in August and I'm determined that this time, I'm going to fit comfortable in the seat and be able to buck the seatbelt without any difficulty.

Am already a friend, but if you don't logg, and are absent from MFP, for weeks (a rather long holiday), there's not much I can do to help, except wait for you to get your life sorted. Was thinking about what to message you, to get you motivated. Unfortunately, I have no idea, but hope this post will give you food for thought, as it where.

PS: congratulations on completing your 5K in May. That's just awesome!
