Carb Cycling Breakfast?

I'm currently following Chris Powell's carb cycling program and according to the book, breakfast should be carb with protein on both high and low-carb days. I'm wondering if that's ok to add fat to this meal, for example egg yolk or whole milk (in overnight oatmeal), because I've read that you shouldn't combine carb with fat in one meal.
Thanks so much for your help!

I'd stop following a silly fad diet as food combination theory is basically a bunch of nonsense

I eat carbs and fats together all the time and I'm awesome. Therefore, Carbs + Fats Together = Makes You Awesome. Science.

    Captain Awesome!

As far as I'm aware a healthy meal is a balanced meal. If you wanna eat an egg yolk, it won't kill you. It won't fill you either...

There are no good carbs... only good people that eat carbs.

OP - I'm not sure about the diet you are doing, as I haven't read the book, but I don't see how it could hurt to add an egg yolk to your meal. That's just my opinion though. Why not try it for 2 weeks and see how you feel and how it affects weight loss? Sometimes, you just have to do some trial and error, I think. Good luck!

Thanks so much for all your replies!
This is the first time I've tried carb cycling so I kinda want to do it right, since I'm afraid to mess up with the macro. But I guess I will try and see how it goes.
    Thanks again guys!
