Couch-to-5K app and Fitbit One logging question

Apologies in advance for a potentially silly question.

I am using the Couch-to-5K app (which doesn't appear on the Apps tab to link) and a Fitbit One, which is linked to my MFP. Assuming that the Fitbit syncs its information, do I need to log the Couch-to-5K workout manually as well, or does the Fitbit data cover that workout?

I previously used the C25K app (the one that shows up in the Apps tab) but I could never get it to sync properly, and I prefer the interface of this new app. I just want to make sure I am properly logging my workouts, and I'm pretty sure I'm not right now.

Sorry for being a dum dum.

I've not specifically used the couch-to-5k app, but I do have a Fitbit One. As long as you have the FB linked to your MFP account, you don't need to manually add anything. It will calculate your steps and give you any negative calories, as applicable.

I have the same scenario, I am doing C25K and have the fitbit One. Technically speaking you do not have to add this kind of exercise as it is step based and the One is great in giving you the right amount of steps and activity minutes.

Nevertheless, as I work out with a heart rate monitor I do log my run in the fitbit app as I manually enter the calories burned.

Beware though if you do this fitbit might take away some of your active minutes so not to double count the calories burned.

I log all of my sport activities in the fitbit app and all my food on myfitnesspal. So far this works fine for me.

  • Ah! This all makes sense. I will start logging activity into the Fitbit app and let sync do its magic. Thank you so much!
