Girls - If you are afraid of becoming too bulky from lifting

I heard a really great analogy today. Now, It's common knowledge that it's very difficult for women to achieve the feared "bulky" and "bodybuilder" look, but I think this quote can really help cement in your mind that lifting heavy will NOT make you bulky without the use of EXTREMELY heavy weights, supplements/steroids, or some other kind of not-easily attainable/accessible thing.
Anywho, here's the quote! Hope it reassures all those who may be iffy or concerned!
thinking you will get too bulky is like saying that what others are working hard at to achieve in several years, you can achieve by accident in a week. It's like saying you don't want to walk very fast because you might accidentally walk around the entire planet. Like, oops!

This is so true! I'm so glad I started lifting this past year. Not only am I losing weight, but I am fitting into more of my older clothes a lot more now (I had gained about 45lbs) and look and feel so much better now than if I just did a simple small boring weight loss. I have more energy, I've fixed a LOT of the metabolism that I ruined, and I can do SO many more things!
Seriously, I think all ladies should lift. Even older ladies! Getting strong will help increase your balance, stability, posture, and ability to continue to do many more activities when you age! Your muscles will help stabilize your bones & joints and you will have less pain in those areas too!0
