Can I weight train when sore? It's been 48 hours

I did body pump which is a GREAT full body strength training class. I'm still a little sore. Mostly in the inside of my elbows when I extend my arm straight, but other then that the soreness is minor. Is it okay to resume today?

(body pump monday- tuesday sore (bodyflow)- wednesday still a little sore... body pump again?)

well it depends on the type of sore...

    If it's muscle yes...

If it's joint I would see how I felt and if it still hurt I wouldn't continue.

However I suspect it's more joint pain esp based on this
Perform 70-100 repetitions per body part totaling up to 800 repetitions in a single workout

This would put strain on anyone's joints...

I think it's muscle not joint pain. I've only ever had joint pain and that was cardio kickboxing and my knees hurt like hell.

Sounds like an overuse injury and possibly the beginning of a tendonitis bout. I have it chronically in my right elbow, probably because I've had my UCL torn twice (yay, jiu-jitsu) and occasionally in my left elbow. I'd be inclined to not ignore or train through the symptoms you're describing.

I went to the class. It was more than 48 hours after the first class. Holy hell was it hard and I'm even more sore after the second class than the first. I think I'll skip fridays bodypump
