What old habit did you drop for a new habit to work towards a healthier body?

I dropped eating dirty 24\7. No joke, I once lived 100% dirty with my diet.
I'm far from a completely clean eater but I eat a lot of natural foods now.
Since I've adopted drinking fresh lemon water thru out the day. I love it too!

I no longer drink sodas/coke/soft drinks.

I have cut WAY back on my coffee intake.

I drink more green teas, lemon water, etc.

I eat more raw vegetables, and enjoy green salads now... shy away from processed foods (prepared frozen meals).

    I drink TONS more water/day.

I still drink wine.. probably a bit more than I should... but a man's gotta live.

No more 10+ candy bars and chips packs a day. I eat those when I feel like it, but no more than 2-3 at a time, and it happens less often.

    No sugary drinks
No more "healthier" fat-free or low-fat crap loaded with sugar
    More healthy fats
Finding healthy alternatives to my favorite foods (sweets, I love to bake!).

I try to drink 2 cups of water in the morning before breakfast and sip throughout the day.

Exercise before dinner rather than sitting down with a G&T and a packet of crisps.....

breath mints instead of a candy bar when the checkout line gets too tempting. a whole box of tic tacs is a hundred calories and that will last me days, rather than a 250 calorie candy bar.

    I gave up sugar.

Since I have given up sugar for a few years now, I find that I can detect even the smallest amount of added sugar, high fructose corn syrup, etc.

I still indulge in he occasional piece of carrot cake because it is sooooo healthy due to the carrots neutralizing the sugar

I used to eat cereal most nights before bed. It took 3 minutes to eat back the 500 calorie deficit I was trying to create! Little things mean a lot. Great question.

I cutout empty calorie foods such as baked goods, soda, chips, fries, bread and other junk foods. Candy, cake and ice cream were never my problem but I had to give up cheese. I replaced these foods with highly nutritious options. Fruits, berries, nuts for snacks and I build my meals around fresh produce, lean meats and beans and small portions of whole grain carbs.

I would say this is pretty much me accurately.

I swapped couch time for lift time.

I stopped eating everything in sight and now just eat moderate amounts of everything.

This is what I do. Lean protein, low carbs, no refined sugar, no white flour, move more, eat wayyyy less. I don't drink wine though anymore.

High Fructose Corn Syrup - I avoid it like the plague now. I used to think it was only in soda - which I quit drinking, but it seems like its in a whole lot of other stuff too.

I dropped the habit sleeping that extra hour on work days.

Now it's 430 am, coffee, then exercise of some kind, gym, martial arts or chi kung, a nice walk.

Like others, I was a Soda Junky!

Stopped drinking regular full calorie soda. (I will have one maybe twice a month if that)

I mostly drink water and 1 cup coffee every morning. :-) Not perfect but A Lot better

    It's helped tremendously!
