Losing a stone - any help appreciate!

Hi everyone,
My aim is to lose half a stone - a stone in one month for my holidays. I am 21 years old, 5'1 and 135 pounds (9.9) So I do have a lot of excess fat on my body as i'm quite small! I'm eating 1200 -1400 calories a day (all of the good stuff, no white bread, general junk foods or sodas and drinking 1-2 litres of water a day) I'm also working out for 40 minutes 5-6 days a week, alternating jillians michaels banish fat (cardio) with jillian michaels no more trouble zones (strength and weight). My bmr is 1430 kcal so I will burn this naturally doing nothing. Am I on the right path to reaching my goal by next month or if there something i'm not doing right?
Thanks in advance for any help given! :)

*appreciated even

At your size, a healthy loss is .5 lb. per week. The less you have to lose, the more slowly it comes off. That's just how the human body works.

Your goal is way to aggressive. At best you be aiming for 20% below your TDEE. At your size, it's probably going to be .8-1 lb per week. You really can't expect huge body changes over a month. But I would suggest you start lifting heavy and making sure protein is rather high. This will help with muscle retention, so you can concentrate on fat loss. Fat loss with good amounts of lean body mass is what will make you lean and fit; instead of just skinny.

    Is it possible? Yes.
    Is it recommended? No.

Having said that, 12-1400 cals per day isn't dangerous and you are working out sensibly too, so rather than focusing on a stone in 1 month (what happens after that month?) just think to yourself I'm doing all I can to be healthy and to lose weight, so whatever I lose is a bonus in that time.

Thanks, my goal does sound kind of agressive reading it back. I'm saying a stone because thats what i'm guessing it will take to get my mid section looking more lean and flat.
As i'm short it's really noticable and a problem area so as long as it starts looking better within a month then I will have achieved my goal!

Yes, this is a great way to think and exactley what I have been thinking. As i said above, I do just want a flatter, more firm midsectionand my aim of a half a stone - a stone was just an estimate of what I need to lose for that to happen but any improvement will be great. I'm being very sensible with my diet and not going to over the top and not restrcting myself of any foods so I hope for a slight difference next month. :)

You may feel great on 1,200 today, but before the month is over you will probably binge.

Set your goal to .5 lb. per week. Eat "healthy" (whatever that means to you) 80% of the time. Fit yummy, portion-controlled treats into your calorie goal.

And please, read the Sexypants link. If you follow its advice, you will look & feel better in 30 days: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1080242-a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants
