Sleep position after weight loss

Now here's a new problem.

Ever since I lost lots of weight, I find that my old sleep position is no longer comfortable. I'm struggle to get comfortable. I often wake up with soreness in my back and arms.

Has anyone else faced the same issues?

Congrats on losing 100 lbs! I'm sure losing that much weight definitely changed what you foun comfortable in other areas, so it makes perfect sense that the same would be true of sleep position.

Have you consider getting a new mattress to better support your current weight?

I have only felt better sleeping since losing all my weight. If its really bad pain I would get checked out by a doctor just to make sure. It may just be that you are getting older, not sure how old you are but once you get pass 30 years old you start getting some aches here and there.

This is a great suggestion, since your body makes an indent in the mattress & you no longer fit that indent.
I think you deserve a reward after that much weight loss, too!

    Great job!!!!

This. Your old mattress probably conformed somewhat to your old weight (if it's the common box type) and it might be causing you to sleep at odd angles.

I used to be a belly sleeper but that's is definitely harder on the back now that I don't have all that fat to keep things in line. While I'm mostly a side sleeper now, some nights I have to sleep on my belly since it's the position that helps me sleep if I'm restless for some reason. I learned from my old chiro that if you put your arm under your belly it'll help keep your spine in better alignment so that's what I do. A small pillow might work too.

I think this might be the answer. I'll have to look into it. Thanks for the idea.

Now that I have lost some I love sleeping on my belly. Before losing I would wake up 3-4 times a night. Now i don't wake up any.
