Hey guys - still working on having the sexiest six pack ever - and a coworker yesterday asked to see a pic of me with my shirt off - so I showed her my six pack ready to get the typical reaction of "can I sleep with you?" - lol jkz I wish..but anyway she said my lower abs look like crap
:embarassed:

Any particular masochistic exercises for my lower abs to get them in check?

Were you sitting down? If so, it's just skin folding over the lower area.

Dude, if that's you in your profile pic then your abs are well defined and certainly don't look like crap. She's wrong. She was either kidding, or was just trying to put you down for some other reason.

I actually showed her the exact same pic as my profile pic - and she was not kidding, she lifts herself and is a hardbody - I work with lots of perfectionist.

Regardless, the lower abs- you can sorta see in the picture have about no definition - so I was wondering if there are any exercises that concentrate on killing them- I'm all about intensity, but I am trying to not pour a ton of time focusing on only one little muscle group.

Ab definition comes primarily from having very little bodyfat. You'll get a lot more bang for your buck in the kitchen than you will blasting the lower abs with some isolation movement that won't have any noticeable effect if you don't lower your bodyfat % anyway.

But like others have said, you DO have definition. If you want more definition though, you'll find it in the kitchen easier than you will in the gym.

    ^gotcha - yeah I am working on lower that body fat % - I'm just not_satisfied

You'll get there, just be more disciplined about your food intake.
I feel like the "abs in the kitchen" line is for people with higher body fat %s wasting their time doing 1,000s of crunches. I think the OP has a pretty low body fat% but not much muscle mass and his physique would benefit from a heavy lifting program even if he ate at maintenance.

Are there any lifts that focus on the lower abs? - I do dedicate 30 mins twice a week to my core - but it primarily works my lower back I feel like not the lower abs.

There isnt really a way to focus on the lower abs (the six pack muscle , the rectus abdominis, is one muscle) - its just that people are typically predisposed to retain fat in the lower belly region.

Add barbell back squats and deadlifts to your routine - In my opinion they will build the muscle you want AND your overall physique.

But for ab centered routines try including weighted cable crunches, landmines, planks

I will check out the landmines and 'barbell back squats' - I am doing everything else but not this.

    Thanks for your insight sir!
