Hi, my name is Sandra Glover. I signed up some time ago, but have been unable to stay motivated and on tract. I really want and need to lose some weight. My Fitness Pal says that I need to eat 198 grams of carbs per day. I have been searching the internet for recipes with carbs of 30 or grams but everything says :"low carbs", any help that you could give would be greatly appreciated.

Hopeful.

What works best for me is eating vegetables with lunch and dinner. My biggest carb meal of the day will be oatmeal with a piece of fruit. Staying balance with fiber and protein with each meal to keep full longer might help.

What is an example of a typical meal day for you?

Hi Mel, everyone may struggle for different reasons. Is there something specific you are struggling with?

First off eat a good breakfast with any of the following fruits, oatmeal, nuts, yogurt, granola, egg whites and toast (margarine no butter). Drink water tea or coffee with no real sugar. Eat a healthy lunch with salads, turkey breast, chicken or fish with vegetables and fruit, nothing fried what so ever. Have a smaller dinner with same items as lunch. Red Meats one or two times a week. Serve more veggies than meat item and absolutely no alcohol. Exercise is incredibly important and walking is great at a brisk pace. Two miles will give you the 30 min of exercise you need a day and build on that with a goal to get to 5 miles. Doing this I guarantee weight will come off.
