I need to bring my carbs up. And my sugar down. Without using processed food. Can anyone throw out some food suggestions? Please, I would appreciate it.

Whole wheat and multi grain breads/pastas are relatively low in sugar. Starch vegetables like potatoes, rice, etc.

Cut out any "diet" products, like low fat yogurt. That's filled with sugar to make it taste good. Also, a 1,000 calorie goal is not sufficient, especially since you come under it a lot in the few days I looked through. You're not eating enough.

Thanks so much! I try not to use processed foods, I don't touch the diet stuff, too many unrecognized ingredients, and processed. I just don't eat when I'm not hungry. Sometimes I go over the 1000 some times I'm lower than I like, but I can't see making myself eat when I'm just not hungry. I drink a lot of water during the day, I'm sure it's much more than I log. Maybe that has something to do with my appetite.

Thanks for the suggestions! I've been afraid of carbs, so been staying away. But I'm not balancing my nutrients well enough. Getting too much sugar and not much carbs. Have some whole wheat pasta I think I'll try this week, sure I have to be low on the sauce....

Confusing request. You are dieting, and your ticker indicates still trying to lose weight. Are you trying to stimulate hunger, or lose weight?

Practically everything has carbs. I suggest unsweetened (natural) peanut butter. Really packs on the calories with a good balance of fats proteins and carbs. Pretty much all nuts do.

Hi thank you for your reply, I use peanut butter when I'm really can't come up with other foods. I eat nuts and dried fruit in a trail mix a couple times a week. But I have just read to stay away from the nuts because of the fat content. I'm trying to loose weight, I just have a hard time some days and come in way lower than my calorie goal, but I don't get upset if I go over by a bit either. I'm not sure why anyone would try to stimulate hunger, I don't like that real hungry feeling, so I try to find something to hold me over to next meal, but this doesn't happen to often.

The numbers change on the program I'm using.
