Publix Pre-Made Meatloaf

Hello, everyone!

I have a question about the nutritional content of the pre-made meatloaf made by the butchers at my local Publix Supermarket. They use only ground beef (80/20), bread crumbs (Publix brand), eggs, onions, and meatloaf seasoning (Publix brand). It is topped with parsley flakes, not a ketchup or tomato-based sauce.

I've looked up several recipes to try to get an accurate nutrition guide, but I can't find anything close. Does anyone know a good nutritional guide for this basic meatloaf recipe?

Thank you for any help!

to get an overestimated ballpark so at the very least you wont underestimate calorie count, you could just ignore the breadcrumbs seasoning packet and onions., weigh the whole meatloaf , divide by serving size, and add 80/20 beef and a portion of a large egg.

    example:

1lb meatloaf cut into 4 servings

    1/4lb 80/20 beef
    1/4 large egg

next time best bet is to just make your own and weigh ingredients before you cook the meatloaf, so you have a more accurate number

I ended up only eating 2 oz of the meatloaf - I was so worried about under-calculating.

2 oz of Publix Ground Beef (80/20) is 140 calories. I accounted for about .1 of an egg (9 calories) and about 1/8 c bread crumbs (16 calories) for a total of 165 calories.

Normally, I make my own, but I had a busy day. ;)

Try e-mailing publix corporate. I bet they would get you some kind of estimate, if not an accurate number. Publix customer service is pretty top notch.
