is counting calories enough?

hello...
as it's stated in the title is counting calories enough for me to lose weight ? or do i have to pay attention to carbs and fats and proteins in each meal?
i lost around 26 pounds by counting calories and exercising 5 times a week not a very intense diet plan but it worked for me , but currently it's not as effective as it was since i've been stuck with no change in weight nor appearance...
so is counting calories enough?

Yes. Anything else is in case you have a "specific" diet regimen that requires you to watch the intake of anything your food has or a doctor has you watching any of the intakes. I do quick calories when on the run.0

yes, it's usually enough. I would exhaust all other possibilities before doing something other than what's worked in the past, if that makes any sense :laugh:
In other words, mix up your work out routine, do something different, make sure you're accurately weighing food etc.

Well in addition to counting them you have to ensure that you hit a set goal that allows you to maintain a deficit but yeah other than that thats about it for weight loss anyways.
For health and fitness its more complicated.0 -

I used to say it was when I was a teenager. Now that I'm a bit older and have been big, I would say exercising is important (don't know your weight history) but I'm trying to deal with skin that I've stretched a bit so I don't want to be skinny fat lol!
Also, calories are #1 when dieting to me, I don't count macronutrients or anything like that but I just follow the general rule of trying to eat healthy. I can't lose weight without eating more healthy because I'm always hungry and calorie dense foods just don't make it easy to keep calories down. Good luck!0 -
It's enough. And if you do decide someday to make your own macro goals, don't aim to meet them PER MEAL just on average over the long haul.
But calories is what causes weight loss.0
