I'm just curious what your opinion is on the show in general?

never watched the show until the other day ran threw the last season, like any reality show it can be somewhat entertaining...i wish they showed more/talked more about nutrition but i understand that would turn the normal viewer off quick
i also wish they judged by body fat % not weight0 -
Always remember it's a game show. The goal is to lose as much weight as possible. Therefore, I doubt they do a whole lot of strength training and stuff that would make them maintain weight at all.
It does give me motivation sometimes, as half of the women are +/-10 lbs from my current weight.0 -
It is NOT a recipe for how to lose weight healthily. It's not a show I would want to go on. Those folks are in a pressure cooker. The motivation is something that can be maintained by the average person over any length of time...and it's some smoke and mirrors. People don't really lose the kind of weight portrayed in the show in the kind of timeframes they say they do. It's like all TV...it's fantasy.

I love it! The US version anyway, us Brits don't do reality TV very well, it turns out TOO real lol. Plus Jillian Michaels cracks me up.
TBL is one of my biggest inspirations. I'd never watched it before and was a bit skeptical but now I've found and seen every episode of every season online. I know that sounds extreme but I feel like I've absorbed at least some of the tips and hope that the show offers.
Honestly I used to watch it while eating Haagen Daas but after a few seasons I started to think I could do it too. I'm not going to lose weight anywhere as fast as the contestants do, and I'm fine with that, but it's a bit easier to imagine success when you see others achieve it.
The show may encourage unrealistic expectations but It plays an important role just being on the air.0 -

It annoys me in that so many people look to it as a shining example of what to do and how their weight loss should go. In reality, it's not reality and is a piss poor example of what to do and doesn't accurately reflect what the average Joe/Janes weight loss is going to look like. It also is a piss poor example of how to lead a healthful life...other than that, it's mildly entertaining.0
