Oh, my gosh, really want to know?

Eating everything you like in moderation while staying in a calorie deficit.

Eating what you want in moderation, eating in a deficit, sticking to your macros/micros and counting calories.

    Nothing more to it.

    Keep it simple.

    I agree with the others.

The best weight loss diet is one you can stick to forever... which means eating the foods you like at a moderate calorie deficit and finding exercises and physical activities that you enjoy doing. When you reach your goal weight, you simply bump your calories back up to your maintenance level and continue eating the same foods.

    What they all said.

Figure out the number of calories you can eat while still losing 0.5-2 lbs per week (depending on how much you have to lose) and stick to it every single day if you can. WHAT you eat is basically up to you.

You are so welcome. By the way, I have ice cream or frozen coconut milk frozen desert every day, The only difference between when I was overweight and now is that I use portion control and weigh my food.

Gimmicks don't work in the end. Everyone else has already posted, but I just wanted to wish you luck on your journey.

yep this is the only way I agree with everyone else, and with the ice cream daily, my heart Dr. said it was a great idea as long as you have a serving not the whole container! She said start with those little pre-made ice-cream cups :) which I got everyday in the hospital.

You're 19 years old and still growing. You need calcium, too. Make sure you get 2-3 servings of calcium of some type, whether it's milk, yogurt, ice cream, cheese, leafy green vegetables, beans, etc. every day.

The best kind of diet is one that you can live with the rest of your life. :flowerforyou:

Depending on your height, weight, and activity level, your calorie intake should be enough so that your body can get the fuel it needs to finish growing and developing. Unless you have health issues that require it, don't totally eliminate any food group, just monitor your intake. Everything in moderation, including moderation.

Get enough calories, fiber, calcium, iron, etc. and you'll be fine. Good luck!
