Realistic goals

Hi, I have dieted on and off before but I've finally got myself into a better routine and my eating is much better. I generally tend to lose a lot of weight very fast, for example last week I lost 6lbs. It then slows down, once it starts to slow down how much would you guys recommend is healthy goal for each week? I feel like 2lbs is not enough each week for me but I dont want to set myself up for disappointment.
Thanks for any help

wow i wish i could lose 6lbs a week that's crazy quick!! Unfortunately i only lose about 1lbs a week sometimes 2 if i eat really well.
You could maybe up your exercise by a lot? I know i really need to get my butt moving more haha0 -
I think because I'm quite overweight its a bit easier to lose more! I'm exercising every day at the moment but the weight seems to fall off for a few weeks and then nearly grinds to a hault, I just dont know how to keep it coming off!0

I have analysed the weight loss data of thousands of people and although losing weight quickly is exciting and increases confidence, it hardly ever lasts. Most people lose weight then gain a little, then continue losing again.
If I woke up tomorrow 50kg overweight, I'd probably aim for 2kg a month, with the last 10kg about 1kg a month. Yes, that would take 30 months but you would be more likely to reach goal weight (IMHO). Only about 15% of people wanting to lose weight reach their goal weight.0 -

the first 6lbs is water weight... it depends how much you have to lose to how much is a healthy amount each week.0
