Good Evening,

Well I'm Teri, 27 from Coventry... I work in the Customer Services Dept of a Water Company... Not been there long so not much to tell.

I have been trying to lose weight for the last 6 years and have tried all the diets under the sun... Cambridge, Weight Watchers, Slimming World, Atkins... The most I have lost is via Cambridge at over 24lbs but I soon realised this was not sustainable, 2nd biggest loss was via MFP at over 14lbs but that soon stopped when I lost my job as I am a massive emotional eater.

So here I am again, ready and raring to go... Whilst I won't be at the gym straight away I will be counting the calories. Back in the gym as soon as I can afford it.

Please feel free to add me, could do with as much support and advice as possible :D

Thanks

xxxx

Welcome back, and congratulations on your new job! I’m new here, but I’m always happy to chat and keep up the motivation and dedication with others. =)

I’ve only tried the Weight Watchers diet from all of those that you’ve listed, and while it did work for me, it’s just too expensive for me (I’m a graduate student, so basically I’m a broke college student, haha!). And, I had a problem with it only listing points for things, and not the calories. Bodies work with calories, not points, so I left that site a few years ago when I couldn’t figure out how they calculated the points, haha.
  • I have taken a massive pay cut to restart my career so I am looking for cheap meals too x

    Hi,

You do not need a gym to exercise, though I think it helps with the motivation but there are a lot of exercises you can do without equipment both cardio and strength training.

There are loads of them on youTube.

    Cheers

    Chris
