I started this week. Went way over my calories the first day, but what an eye opener! Logging my food intake in private appeals to me.

    Hi there and welcome !
    I too went over my calorie limit the first day and it really is an eye-opener.
    Now I plan my meals a day ahead and enter them in my food diary - Then I know
    what I can eat for the day and it keeps me on track. But today I had a really high calorie
    impulse treat and when I entered it on MFP I got a big surprise. It threw my food plans off so much that I am now
    heading downstairs to do an aerobic DVD. You know it wasn't that great a treat anyway ! Hopefully I will think
    twice now before I give in to an impulse.
