Please help with Polar f4 HRM

I have had my polar f4 for about 4 months. I also have a fitbit. I dont know if it is my polor not working or what but when I worked out it used to tell me that I would burn about 600 cal same as fitbit. Now its down to 400 while fitbit and myfitness pal still shows 600. So I went to use it last week and all of a sudden my watch is telling me it can not read the HR thing that is on my strap. So I thought it was the battery. I ordered one off amazon and put it in...still not working. Any ideas? I have reset the watch and that doesnt help either...

    Are you wetting and cleaning the strap per the user guide? if you don't have yours, you can find one on the Polar website.

    Also make sure the strap is snug during every session.

    Which battery did you change? There is one in the watch and one in the chest strap.

    I'm not sure how the fitbit works, but do both devices have your current, correct body stats?
