Can anyone recommend a good Iron supplement?

Options
Hi everyone,
I've been taking a supplement for my Iron levels (Iron Melts - also has folic acid, B12 & C in there) for a few months now & its been great. I've been feeling so much better compared to what I felt like beforehand BUT (silly me!) I just read the ingredients list on the back & the sneaky rascals have put ASPARTAME in there!! Id like to change to something else & was wondering if anyone had any recommendations? I've tried Floradix liquid before but its disgusting & leaves a horrible metallic taste in my mouth as well.

I'm in New Zealand so some products might not be as readily available here as in other countries.

Thanks in advance!

Kaz

Food high in iron. Cooking in an iron skillet. Any multivit with iron. That's all I got! Good luck!

Crazy as it sounds, my doctor recommended Flintstones Complete. It brought my iron levels up quickly!

Is that like a 'kiddie' supplement? I've never heard of it before?

I take the Flintstone's iron pill thing that they make for children. Also, aspartame isn't really the evil substance that people make it out to be.

I like Spantone PurAbsorb. Not sure it's available where you are though.

I use spatone - it doesnt taste of much so you can add to a bit of juice and not notice really. I dont eat any red meat so figure it's a good idea to take daily.

    It's available on amazon :)
