Pasta cooking water?

I have been trying to work out the calorie values for Jamie Olivers Cauliflower pasta bake. Without the water it's ended up 356 calories a portion, or 444 with the bacon bread crumb topping.

You use some of the water the pasta and cauliflower is cooked in though so that must add a few calories, but how many? I've searched various site but can't find that info. Anyone have any idea's?

I was thinking the starch from the pasta and cauliflower might be a few calories

The calorie calculation for the pasta and the cauliflower is the raw calculation... so any calories that are in the water used for cooking are already accounted for. Just enjoy!

I really don't think it has any calories, and if it does (from the pasta starch I assume) it is so minimal it is not worth considering. If you are still worried though, just use tap water for the recipe.

If it has any at all (that came from the pasta and cauliflower) it's not enough to count. Don't worry about it.

Thanks for that. I just really didn't want to go thinking i was okay if i was actually going over and as my oh and kids all liked it it's probably going to be cooked more often. I think it needs the starch to help the cheese melt into a sauce rather than just be bitty iykwim.
