Read The Signs!

Hey Ya'll!
SO I had a bit of a sign last night/this morning. Here's the deal:
I have a pair of work pants that I wear almost everyday. They are what I like to call my "fat pants". They are big, frompy and i'm comfortable in them (no matter how big I get). And last ngiht...I lost them....I went to the gym last night right after work and changed out of my work clothes into my gym clothes. I placed, what I thought was all of my work clothes, into my gym bag. When I went to get them out this morning for work...THEY WEREN'T THERE!! Now instantly I looked at my closet and saw a bunch of other work pants that use to fit me...and thought to myself...this is a sign!! I was too comfortable in those pants...I could gain weight and they would still fit me. I never noticed I was gaining weight in those pants...I think this is a sign that I shold be wearing my smaller pants as motivation and a reminder that I need to lose this weight!!! I'm not promoting wearing clothes that are too small. I have a range of "fat pants". The pair of pants I lost last night are my biggest "fat pants". This morning I put on my medium sized "fat pants". They are a little tight...but they're not hurting me in anyway. They're just tight enough to remind me that I still have work to do!
Overall, I took the loosing of my pants as a sign to point me in the right direction. I think wearing clothes that are too big for you and give you "room to grow" are bad for your health. Over time you will fill them out! I'm a big sweat-pants and leggings person which are DEADLY! I have decided to wear jeans more often and try on my "skinny jeans" once a week to see my progress!
Hopefully the pants I'm wearing today will soon be my "Big Fat Pants"
Thanks for reading!!

so funny I have clothes like that too instead of losing more I would stash my fav jeans and switch to elastic lol...I should have just kept them on and worked on the weight loss0

I made it a point that if i stayed in the smaller size for more than a month the "Bigger" clothes went to charity...
i still have 1 pair of the biggest trousers (pant) for days when i feel "FAT" not to wear but to put and and watch them fall down ... some times we forget how far we have come .0 -

Funny that you say this because when I started dieting and exercising I refused to buy clothes that are the correct size, I only buy cloths that are a bit snug and I would have to lose a few pounds to fit in correctly. I do this for the same reasons you say! Now I fit nicely in my pants that were too small just 3 weeks ago!!! (I accidentally did this with a button up shirt too and it won't close at the chest but ..... I've lost weight and that is not getting smaller so I may have to donate that to someone less "chesty" lol)0 -
Love the story! I remember someone telling me that wearing too tight clothes is great for appetite control and it IS true. I have an old pair of jeans from pre-stretch days and they are great to wear around the house to remind me I wouldn't want to be a gram heavier. That said, nothing makes you look fatter than a too tight pair of jeans so inside the house is best. Get rid of elastic waists everyone.0

Great "sign". Now if you find them throw them out! Dr. OZ said NEVER wear elastic waist pants for just the resons you stated. I need to work on that myself.:blushing: Won't it be great when your medium fat pants are loose?!! BE sure to let us know when you graduate to your small fat pants! lol0

So true. We love the comfy part and not to feel like we are being cut in half. I have elastic waist pant, but only part of them. I have work pants that I am trying not to wear because they are to stretched and to baggy that they fall down all the time. So been wearing my jeans that are a little tight but making them work. I sit at a desk all day and you know how it can get uncomfy but still doing it. Bye bye baggy pants.. hello jeans again. All of us will be looking good in regular jeans one day!0
