Why is weight coming back shhhhh.....

This is my second week on the diet and for some reason I am up I think like two pounds I am doing the same exact thing as last week but for some reason I am gaining weight omg I dont want to feel like I am doing this for nothing kind of getting discourage a little bit like maybe I am supppose to be this big I dont know ** TMI ** Could it be my Monthly that is doing the weight gain???

Are you tracking everything you eat or drink?
Unless you've recently increased your exercise and are retaining water, you aren't eating at a deficit if you're gaining.0 -

I am tracking everything I do as well as eat I increase my work outs could it be because of my menstural ???0 -

Could be from increased workout, menstrual, or both. The scale is useful, but never trust it. The way clothes fit, measurements, and photos are better, but of course as you know, if it's PMS even that doesn't always work because of temporary belly bloat.0 -

Weight loss is not linear. Sometimes you do everything right & maintain—even gain. Others you lose a whole lot at once. Take photos & measurements, too.

Don't take it as a true gain until after your period. You may be surprised that it was just extra bloat and weight from that.
Also, give your body about 3 weeks or so to readjust after increasing your workouts. If you recently started lifting weights/doing resistance training, your muscles will hold onto extra water to repair themselves.0 -

how do I weigh the food like on a actual scale i usually just put in the name in my diary sometimes the amount do not be right but I just dont stress it0 -

Get a food scale. It is VERY easy to overeat when you don't weigh everything. I sometimes make my plate just to see how close I get to what I'm supposed to eat. You'd be surprised how off you can be. Even after weighing and tracking everything for years, I still over-fill my plate when I don't measure. If you aren't weighing everything, you may record that you ate 6 ounces of chicken when you really ate 8. Overtime, that difference can add up.0 -

Two weeks is nothing. What you're experiencing could be natural weight/water fluctuations.
What worked for me was to weigh all my solid food, measure liquids, get clear about portion sizes and correct entries in the MFP database by looking up my own nutrition information, getting a heart rate monitor to better estimate my burn calories because MFP, internet sources, and gym machines are overestimated, eat as close to my calorie goal as possible, which includes eating cardio calories back (I don't count weight lifting or high intensity interval training calories, but my activity level is active, which includes those calories).
Whatever you decide works for you, just make sure you are eating less calories than you burn because that's the only way to lose weight.0 -

I just got a digital food scale yesterday and I LOVE it already. It is very interesting to see the difference in what I thought I was eating. Perfect example -
The back of the bag of tortilla chips says 28g is a serving which is "about 12 chips"... for 140 calories. So when we have taco salad, or I'm in the mood for a sneaky salty treat, I'll count out 6 or 7 chips and put it in my diary as half a serving. I of course don't use the broken or small chips - I only count out the biggest and best chips.
Well, last night I decided to have a sneaky salty treat - but I whipped out the scale and actually measured half a serving of chips - 14g. It was dismal and I ended up putting them back in the bag cause I was so disappointed in what an ACTUAL 70 calorie serving of chips looked like I just decided it wasn't worth it and had some fruit. And now I'm wondering how many times I put 70 or 140 calories in my diary for chips when I really consumed 200 or 300+ calories worth, cause I'm sure it was more than once!0 -
Most women "gain" 2-5LBS just before their periods, and many women (if not most) gain 2 or more pounds when they ovulate. Just keep doing what you are doing, and see what happens after your period is over.0
