I'm getting ready for my first mud run of the season and I have a polar HRM....I know that it is allowed in the water, but what are your thoughts about wearing it into the mud pits? And does the monitor continue to collect data if the watch receptor portion isn't close by? I'm worried about that getting all yucked up where the monitor will likely (hopefully) just be subject to muddy water not direct mud.

I'd just leave it at home personally. Mud runs can wreck your things beyond repair. I never bring anything I wouldn't mind throwing away to one.0

Leave it at home. Don't wear anything you want to keep. Duct tape your shoes on.0
