I'm a pear shape and I have amazing curves!! While hourglass makes for a fantastic body shape, be happy with what you got. Nothing you can do. Unless your chest to hip ratio were the same, you were probably already a pear shape. Us pears usually lose in the upper body and waist first and the bottom half last. I lost 4 inches in my bust and only .5 to 1 inch on each other part of me. So keep it up and once you get to your goal, you may actually be happy with what you see.

At least you didn't turn into a newt.

(though I hear you get better from that)

OP, nothing you can do. Genetics will determine where fat comes off.

    I'm a pear!

Love your shape, whatever it happens to be.

In terms of heart health, a pear shape is healthier than an apple shape -- so you are genetically lucky to carry your weight where you do. As Eric Idle sang, "Always look on the bright side of life."

I'm losing weight from top to bottom too. Doesn't mean you'll stay pear shaped, just give it some time and you'll see who's hiding inside.
