Hello my fellow shorties I was wondering what your daily calorie goals are as far as consumption, how many you´re burning during exercise and if it is working for you.
I am 5´2
SW: 170
CW: 146
GW: 135
Daily Calorie: 1400
Burn: Approx 6-700 Daily.

I am also 5'2" and these are my stats:

Daily Calories: 1250
Burn: Approx. 300-500 daily

Hey fellow friend! I'm also 5'2
my starting weight was 141 (Jan 7,2014)
my current weight is 127.2 (as of this morning)
goal weight is 125 lbs
since I'm so close to my goal and honestly got tired of eating 1200 calories a day, I've set my food calorie goal to maintenance which mfp has me at 1600(sedentary-even though i know I'm not). I as of lately haven't been logging most of my exercise calories- i work out at least 8 hours a week total.. i just enjoy eating more. I've figured those exercise calories i don't log if I'm satisfied can be used for days where I'd like to indulge more than usual. Oh and even though my goal is set at 1600 i may eat less depending on if I'm satisfied or not0 -
I'm 5'3.5", can I count as short?
SW: 170 lbs
CW : 120 lbs
GW: maybe 130 lbs, depends, going more on BF% than scale. I'm currently bulking at 2300.
Maintenance calories are around 2200. I lose weight on around 1900 calories. I use TDEE, so I don't eat back exercise.
My activities are weightlifting 3x a week, walking in the park about 30 minutes a few days a week, taking care of my kids and I clean buildings for about 3 hours 3 days a week.0 -

I'm training for a half-marathon and I don't want to lose weight fast because I always end up gaining it all back if I lose too fast (hence why my CW is nearly the same as my SW - I've gotten down to 140 before). My advice, exercise and count calories until you learn portion control, then do it to be healthy (and maybe to fit into a certain size), and forget the numbers, because if you are anyone like me who has struggled for 16+ years, once you get to a goal weight, its hard to maintain and not gain it all back or go the opposite direction and become too skinny.

I just started back at trying to lose the last bit of weight.
Weight loss calories: 1600-1800
Maintenance calories: 2000-2300
I walk 6 miles a day, 6 times a week and weight lifting 5 days a week and 1 day is rest day. :happy:0 -

So I met my goal. My calorie goal was 1200 but my weekly average was always between 1350. My maintenance is 1490, which so far I am basically sticking with but still losing a bit. I put my settings at sedentary because I really wasn't sure where I stood. I have always eaten back my exercise calories and I exercise most days. Hope that helps. Oh also I'm in my forties so I have the metabolism of a snail.0 -

Maintaining on about 2000 calories a day.
Exercise for about 45 mins 5 x a week. Varies from short runs, HIIT, Body Pump, Spinning, core/resistance band workout. Moving into a heavy lifting programme in August.0 -
I am 5' 3 1/2" and 121 lbs. Will be starting diet soon. Just need to lose probably fewer than ten pounds. Whenever I diet, I usually set my caloric intake at 700 calories/day. I do not exercise, never have, never will. I am not willing to torture myself.0

My calories allowance is set up at 1290 at the moment, Working out at least 5 days a week at the moment for 40 to 60 minutes and I am managing to burn rougly 350 to 450 (using a HRM) on good days. It is harder for us shorties to get a higher cal burn0 -
I'm also about 5´2 (actually 1m 65cm)
SW: 77 kg - 169 lbs
CW: 66 kg - 145 lbs
GW: 60 kg - 132 lbs, i think.
Daily Calorie: 1600
Burn: Gym or running 4 or 5 x week, around 300 - 400 cal

I am on 1200 cals a day and aim to burn around 400 a day so eat around 1600 though sometimes less and then eat more another day. I am quite shocked at how easy it has been so far. I have chnaged my mindset from the lose as much as poss and quickly as poss to I am going to look at the long prize. I feel look and better everyday so want to enjoy the process rather than obsess about my goal which could take a year at my height!0 -
