I am but I consider myself an aspiring strength athlete, not a body builder. Do powerlifting, oly, & Crossfit. Go to a regular gym, an oly class, and a CF box.

I would say I lift weights about 5 days per week and always looking to improve on amount of reps or weight weekly. Like pushing my body to the limit with new exercise here and there

I lift things up and put them down. Got back on Starting Strength in March after medically-forced layoff and should be cracking two plate deadlifts for reps this week.

Calculated 1RM Stats as of Sunday:

    Squats: 217
    Bench: 172
    Deadlift: 258
    Overhead press: 113

    Bodyweight: 166.8

I started lifting about 5-6 months ago, and fell in love pretty quickly. I now lift about 5-6 days per week, and definitely don't feel right if I miss a workout. I still have another 10 lbs to go in my current cut, but will reassess once I reach that point. I'm always trying to improve and get stronger.

I'm all about improving performance, no real interest in aesthetics or losing weight.

I already have some cool friends here who are similar, but can always appreciate more, especially people who want to talk about lifting and everything related.

Well darn. Guess I'm not allowed to play, even though I lift heavy things up and put them down, seeing as how I'm still working on losing more weight. Looks like I'm not serious enough.

Switched up goals for the next 8 weeks for a crossfit comp, but will be back to full on strength training come August 25th. Then it is an all out quest for the elusive 315 dead lift. 3 plates on each side baby!

    Anyone feel free to add!

I lift nearly daily and I love it! I have a nicely set up home gym, a good routine and some good loud music ;)

I use Bodybuilding.com and some other sites to set up and change my routines.

LOVE lifting... not aspiring to be a competitor or anything, but i started about 6 months ago and i got addicted pretty quickly. currently i only lift 2/3 times a week bc I'm training for the ARMY10miler in October. once the race is over, I'll be back at it 100%! Lifting has seriously changed me, i need to lose some weight, but I've increased my lifts and gotten stronger.

Why is weight loss so frowned upon by the OP?

I lift a little, but I'm trying to lose weight so maybe my PRs don't count:

    Deadlift - 245lbs
    Back squat - 205lbs
    Bench press - 125lbs
    Clean & Jerk - 125lbs
