Well peeps, I'm currently in a weight loss challenge so I'm about as committed as I can be at the moment. But, we all have a rainy day. I need some peeps that can help keep me on track and I'll return the favor. I can only post in the evenings but would love the accountability. Any takers?

Well I'm new to all of this. Been here a week. I think if you go on your profile you can return to previous places that you have posted. Are you trying to post a new topic?0
-
I just added you. I too, am in a weight loss challenge. It's 12 weeks and ends the first week of April! Good luck to you!!0

I found a local chapter of TOPS (take off pounds sensibly) The have weekly weigh in's. I found that was the accountability that I needed.0

I'm here till the bitter end. I don't give up easily. Lots of views no more takers? I'm not stopping until I reach goal. No matter what! Are you determined? Can you fight the fight? It's about life changes. Break the bad habits. If you continue to do the same things you've always done, you'll continue to get the same results you've always gotten. Spring is around the corner and I'm looking forward to spaghetti strap shirts and shorts. Are you going to be ready?0

Thanks MommyRobot. Did you start on January 1?

First weigh in was last Saturday, the 8th. First workout was this past Monday.
Is the challenge through a gym? Your job?0 -
It's a local Biggest Loser contest. It's 10 weeks and it started on January 3/4. It's a money pot. We all had to put in $100. Soooo...I'm very committed. I've lost 17lbs since 1/1/11 but only about 10lbs for the challenge. I've got my work cut out for me. I had ACL surgery on my knee about 5 months ago so no major exercise for me. I'm limited to walking at the moment. But that's ok, I can slim up my legs with walking.0

Thanks so much Bev! How much do you want to lose and in what time frame?0

I've lost 17lbs so far. My goal is to lose 2lbs a week. I think I can do it. I'll have to be very good and not cave in to the sweets. It's my biggest downfall.0

Well good luck to you!!! You can totally do it! I joined a challenge with a gym. It's a 12 week program, was $600, prize is 1k and a year membership. 5 teams, 3 workouts with a personal trainer a week. It's pretty awesome!! It's kicking my butt though! LOL0 -
I need some accountability too! Perhaps it would have stopped me from cheating tonight!
P.S sweets are my BIGGEST downfall too!0 -
I had ACL repair in May, I had a complete ear. Are you in physical therapy? I just finished about a month ago but my physical therapist was amazing and I have lots of great dos and donts for your knee if you need any help in that arena!0

Wow that's a great incentive! If that won't motivate you nothing will! We have a personal trainer leading ours. He gave all of us his contact info so we can do a class with him or he'll give us advce. At the moment I'm limited to walking but it doesn't take long to build up to something else. I hope to advance in a few weeks. Good luck to you too, that's awesome!0 -

Alright now, you're never going to get there cheating! Skimpy clothes weather is coming. I have a terrible sweet tooth as well. It always takes me a couple of days to wean myself away from it. Then I'm usually fine. Ok, back on your feet today, no cheats!0 -

I was playing beach volleyball and landed very wrong. It tore my meniscus and detached my ACL. So they had to do a complete repair. They used my patella. I'm out of PT although he told me to come and visit maybe once a month to make sure I'm on track. I've been lazy. I can walk a mile on the treadmill and I'm trying to build up a little farther.0 -
Good morning Peeps! I set the alarm and got up half an hour early. I walked 1 mile on the treadmill. Sad I know but I'll build up to 3 miles in a few weeks. The hardest part was getting out of the bed! Alright, off to pack an on-plan lunch and snack and then to work. BE VERY GOOD today. NO CHEATS!!!!0

Boy do I ever need accountablity. Yesterday I caught mysefl sneaking sourdough pretzels while the kids played in the snow and later I used them for the reason I had to go to McDonalds for lunch and then Sonic for dessert. What is wrong with me. The kids know I need to lose weight and excersizee more but I am sabatoauging myself when treats for them became diet busters for me. Honestly, When they started to come in and I had a freshly salted pretzel out....I slid it behind mny back and suggest they head upstairs to watch tv. If my husband had come home I would have been busted. Then to satisfy my guilt I added another pretzel and two frozen fruit bars to ease the pain.....HELP ME! I may swallow myself0

Well, I have seen lots and lots of cheating on the boards today. You have to get in a mindset that I am going to lose weight TODAY, not tomorrow. TODAY is when you need to act. NOW IS THE TIME! Tomorrow is when I want to look good. Today I'm going to do something about it. Talk yourself through that cheating moment. You will only be satisfied for a moment. But you will be disatisfied for a long time. Make a committment! When I'm at work I certainly feel like cheating at times. I start a pot of coffee or drink some hot tea. I have a healthy snack like blueberries or some veggies. Think smart!!!0

Welcome new peeps! I'm determined to not give in to cheating. No excuses, no excuses! I welcome committment and encouragement and it will be returned.0

Good Morning! Another opportunity to eat right and lose weight. I started the morning with a walk on the treadmill. It gets easier by the day. Meal one down and packing some good on plan foods so I don't cheat today. It's harder to cheat if you're prepared. If I feel the urge to eat some junk, I just eat what I brought first. I'm always full after that and the urge to cheat passes. Have a good one today! Be good!0

I had another great day today! I didn't cave in when some of my co-workers wanted to go get Chick fil A milkshakes. It was hard bc I had gotten a coupon for a free one! Oh and I love them. But I had some coffee and ate my afternoon snack instead. Now I'm glad I made the right decision!
How bout you? Did you survive your day? Did you make the right choices?0 -
Down a few more pounds!0
